It Snowed!!!

This morning as I got out of bed I was woken up with something I haven’t seen for some time. SNOW!! Now where I stay it doesn’t snow at all so if it happens it is news worthy to everybody. So being the person I was I dragged myself out took some pictures to remember the day and had a snow ball fight with my two cousins visiting us for this week. It was so much fun you can’t believe it. I only wish that it could have snow a whole two feet and not just half an inch. Then I could have phone worked and told them that I’m snowed in as the roads would have been closed.

Well at least I can tell my children what it was like. Well if you stay anywhere in Jozi and it snowed by you I hoped that you enjoyed it before going to work today.

A quick Update

So a lot of my friends have not been able to log on to the net for some time now. This is me just letting them all know that I will be out of the country again from the 15th June to 20th June. I was hoping that I would be able to tell you that I was on my way to Mauritius but alas this is not the case. I will be leaving tomorrow for Nigeria again. I’m not looking forward to this but what can I say, I don’t have a choice in the matter.
Now I was reading up on the news in Nigeria and was shocked to find that there was a South African taken hostage about two weeks ago and this did not make the news over here. At least this poor guy was released this week so it is sounding not that bad.

Anyway last night I went to visit a friend in Boksburg. Now two days ago a power substation burned down so it was so dark driving thought the town that I could hardly see all the intersections where there is supposed to be a traffic light. My heart goes out to those poor people as it was not the warm last night and some of them will still be without power till next week. What is this country coming to? I don’t believe the story’s that Eskom is telling everyone. They saw this coming for years now and they could have prepared themselves for this increase in power usage.

So I hope you have a thought for those poor people when you are sitting in your nice warm home.

A Change or just Weird?

So till about 6 o’clock last night this little spider had long flowing locks of hair down to just past his shoulders. Now he has none. I have been asked time and time again as to why I would do such a thing. So if you are one of the people wondering let me say this to you: “It will grow back!”

See yesterday started off like any other day. Get up go to work and look busy. But by 9:30 in the morning I was told that my mother has been taken up in the hospital. Now I was a bit worried as the night before she was complaining about pains just above her stomach. So I asked my boss if I can go and find out what is happening with my mother. He just said “Why you still here?” I could not argue with that at all. So when I got to the hospital stayed a little while and was asked nicely to leave as the people there needs there rest. While sitting at home and waiting to hear from my dad as to what was wrong, I started to think, not always a good thing. I need a big change in my life as my birthday is next week. I looked up to the mirror and it hit me as to what I need to do. There I when looking for the electric hair trimmer and without a comb cut my hair. Needless to say a lot of people could not believe what I have done.

So now I have more obvious hair on my eyebrow than anywhere else on my head.

So tonight my friends will find out what I have done when I go to watch the Spider-Man 3 movie. I can’t wait to see their faces or hear their comments.

Now I will leave you with this, how big a change are you willing to make to yourself?

This Spider is in Need of a Rest

So this little spider has been very quite the last few days. You see when it rains it pours and like all little spiders this one had to find a safe place to see it out. Now the storm is not over as yet but I can see it ending soon. I really need to go and wind down for a while. So I decided last night to start winding down a bit early. I took out my 5l “doos” wine that was left over from Splashy Fen, and had a glass of Rosé while watching Smallville and the wrestling. Now after 3 glasses and some good action from Smallville, I told myself it was time to go to bed.

See one reason why I’m so stressed is my gf. She is busy organizing her birthday party that is on Saturday. Now with this being the last few days she is stressing about everything, and doesn’t want to ask me for any help. Now I know I shouldn’t bother a sleeping dog but I can’t help myself. She is just working herself to the edge and I’m afraid she won’t be able to enjoy her own Party.
